The Thurston County Auditor has mailed more than 205,000 ballots for the Nov. 3 general election, and 31 ballot drop boxes are now open around the county.

Didn't get a ballot? If yours hasn't arrived by Thursday, Oct. 15, call Thurston County Elections at 360-786-5408.

Returning by mail. Ballots must be postmarked by Nov. 3. No stamp is needed. In the final two weeks before the election, the county recommends using a drop box instead of the mail, so your ballot is not postmarked late.

Drop boxes. All 31 drop boxes close at 8 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 3.

In person. The Auditor's Voting Center, at 2915 29th Ave SW in Tumwater, opens on Oct. 14. You can get help with voting or registration there.

What's on the ballot. South Bay and Johnson Point voters in Lacey Fire District 3 will see Proposition 1, the district's $98.3 million bond. See our story on the bond for what it would pay for and what it would cost.
