Lacey Fire District 3's $98.3M bond is on your ballot
Proposition 1 would pay for two fire stations, a live-fire training site and a warehouse, at an estimated $8 to $11 a month on a $500,000 home.

Lacey Fire District 3 is asking voters to approve Proposition 1 on the Nov. 3 ballot.
If it passes, the district can issue up to $98.3 million in general obligation bonds. The money would pay for four projects:
- a relocated Station 32
- a new Station 36 in Hawks Prairie, north of I-5
- a regional live-fire training facility
- a logistics warehouse
What it would cost you. District materials estimate the cost at 22 to 25 cents per $1,000 of assessed value. For a home assessed at $500,000, that works out to about $8 to $11 a month.
City support. The Lacey City Council was scheduled to consider Resolution 1187, which supports the measure, at its Oct. 6 meeting.
The district's headquarters is Station 31, at 1231 Franz St. SE in Lacey.
Ballots for the Nov. 3 general election are already in the mail. Ballots must be postmarked by Nov. 3, or placed in a county drop box by 8 p.m. on Election Day. No stamp is needed.
